Greetings,
Welcome to the website of Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Established in 1908
on the campus of Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is an organization consisting of women
who have chosen to give back to their communities through volunteer service. Since 1988, Rho Zeta Omega Chapter
has provided community service through various programs and projects throughout the North Suburban Atlanta area.
Giving back to the community not only feels right, it is the right thing to do. Since our chartering in 1988,
Rho Zeta Omega Chapter has awarded over $145,000 in scholarships to high school seniors. In keeping with the
Sorority’s ideals of high scholastic achievement, Rho Zeta Omega’s scholarship program is designed to support
and encourage education beyond the post high school years. Additional chapter programs are structured to encourage
entrepreneurship, the economic growth of the Black family, as well as health resource management and economics. Our
combined chapter programs comprise the Heart of ESP: Extraordinary Service Programs.
2008 will be a banner year! Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will celebrate 100 years of service!
Sorors, while a host of Centennial activities have been planned, you will not want to miss the Centennial Boule,
July 12-19, 2008 in Washington, D.C.!
On April 30, 2008, Rho Zeta Omega Chapter will celebrate 20 years of service in the North Suburban Atlanta community.
If you are a Soror in search of a friendly chapter, with Sorors that believe in service to the community, we cordially
extend an invitation for you to join us.
Sisterly,
Gloria Nichols
President
